I wonder if Sanchez is slowly proving Pete Carroll right that he could use another year in School. Mark Sanchez leading us with Matt Barkley as his backup would have been nice, ofcourse Barkley has been quite good too.

The guy is starting for an NFL team as a rookie and is making millions of dollars. He made the right decision. If anything it just shows Carroll was more concerned with winning at USC than he was with the pro future of Sanchez.

Yup, if Bradford has taught us all a lesson it's go out when the iron is hot. Being a top 5/10 draft pick there's no reason not to come out.

How much you think Leinart cost himself sitting out a year? No way he fell to the 10th pick the year before. But then again...banking millions and riding the pine with a ballcap on your head is better than getting the ever loving crap pummelled out of your on a weekly basis on a losing team 🙂 It didn't work out so bad for him.

That's true but I have a bad feeling Bradford has cost himself a lot more money than Leinart. I hope everything turns out well for Bradford though because I do have a lot of respect for guys who want to stick around for their senior year.

The Niners would have for sure taken him #1 over Alex Smith--plus all that money he would've made in that first year.

sanchez's problem this game were having the secondary WR out, which allowed them to double-triple team braylon and the fuking TE contributed to this by dropping half a dozen or so balls and his first in game experience with the meadowland wind/cold weather.

for the second he should have enough arm strength to overcome, just needs the practice at it (look back at how eli sucked in similar games his first year(s).) for the first, that's addressing a personnel problem for the long term and play calling for the short.

I blame the NYJ coaching more for not running the ball which they did very successfully every time they tried it.

some more running would have been good, but for passing they should have shifted to screens; but you can't just keep trying to throw to your only competent guy with close double coverage and a third DB providing zone assistance and not expect problems. I think schottenheimer got a bit too enamored with his new toy and pulled a case of the Martz.
