What. this is retarded. the only rule should be no taunting the other team. if you do, penalty. otherwise, let 'em celebrate. not many people ever get a chance to score a TD in the NFL. let 'em dance

stupid stupid stupid crap.. It pisses me off. I love the Chad Johnson celebrations, or seeing what TO will do next etc... its entertaining.

One benefit now is possible speeding up the game a bit. In terms of time. Less celebration leads to kick team getting onto field, for fg then to commericial break.

i dont need some dumbass jumping around and flaunting his talent.. go run to your teammates then get off the damn field

Its not a matter of whether or not you need it. Its a matter of whether or not it should be allowed. According to the poll most people enjoy seeing it. If you don't, to bad. The majority of people like it though.

People seem to forget that it's a game and celebrating is a part of it. Plus who was it actually hurting, it's not like the celebrating is directed towards anyone else usually. I always liked to see where else it would go. Just sounds like a bunch of the old brass got annoyed with it thats all.

A sport is no fun unless you can say, "in your face b!tch" to the other team one way or another. 😉

<= In favor of end zone celebration. 🙂

WTF? No leaping?
I think in just about every other sport you could leap for joy... NFL just gets worse. 😀

OMG NO! You have to stay on your feet the rule is, leaping is allowed, break dancing would not be.

Most other sports are self regulating, but not football (oddly enough, since it's one of the more violent sports).

Thinking of showboating after hitting a homerun? Guess who's taking a fastball in the ribs?
Maybe an excessive celebration after scoring in hockey? Better be ready to drop the gloves with the enforcer

etc, etc.

Face it, sports aren't about showboating and saying "in your face b!tch" is poor sportsmanship. When people do and say things like that, they deserve every bit of retaliation they get.

Exactly, retaliation. It shouldn't be out-right banned. It should be self-regulated. When TO Mocked Ray Lewis that was one of the greatest things Ive ever seen. Not only did he have the balls to blatantly mock a defensive player, but RAY LEWIS. I wanted to see if Ray was going to retaliate and knock TO's head off. Things like that make the game great (not that its not already great). I personally really enjoy them.

Or When C.J talks mad trash about a CB from another team, then when he scores he throws it in their face. Thats priceless. Also speaking from personal experience - When I was in sports show-boating and being show-boated against made the game that much more fun for me. The game gets boring if its all nice-nice. You gotta have some agitation/commotion/uproar/excitement. Thats partially what showboating/endzone celebrations do.

Um, you've got to be sh!tting me. Showboating leads to a fastball in the ribs? Doesn't that already happen in baseball? Pitchers don't already dilerberately try hitting batters? And don't batter run up to the mound when they KNOW a pitcher tried to hit him on purpose?

Excessive celebration after scoring in hockey leads to fights? That's why there are no fights in hockey now, right? Yes, celebrating in hockey is not allowed, but fighting is. Give me a fvcking break. They sure as hell don't allow fighting in football.

In football, do you know how much trash talking goes on on the line and after a hit? That's what makes football great. It's all a mind game. Strike fear into your opponent or taunt him to piss him off and throw him off his game is what it's all about.

So yeah, I want some "in your face b!tch" action!
