Uh, have you followed the Bears? Lovie should've been canned 2 or 3 years ago. I'm actually shocked he was fired.

Even when they win, the Bears still suck...official Packer mantra...

I have just seen over the years teams with worse records keep their coaches...

Browns also fired Shurmur and the GM.
Jags fire their GM.
San Diego will be celebrating, Norv Turner is going to be fired as well as the GM.
Jet's are firing their GM and keeping Rex.

This is about 4 years too late - I detest Norv and AJ and the damage they did to the Chargers.
I made up my mind a long time ago NOT to support the Chargers as long as Turner was the coach.
Hopefully nobody is stupid enough to bring him in to destroy their teams.

Dear Titans, please fire Munchak and hire Reid. Why even bother waiting another year for this fiasco to turn into something better?

You should blame Smith more -- everyone knew Turner was a terrible HC and Smith canned a great HC (Schottenheimer) after a 14-2 year (IIRC) to bring in a retread like Turner.

Think a storied franchise like Chicago would be enough to lure Bill Cohwer or Gruden out of retirement?

Are the Cowboys going to stay with Garret for another year? He's a terrible HC

Yes, but rumor has it that he will not be the OC next year (he currently handles OC duties during the game) and they will shift to a full-time play calling OC.

Wonder if they'll pursue Norv ...

I think both will be coming out of "retirement" this year, which will screw over Dallas as Garrett will end up being fired next year.

Its all about money and power...2nd year GM isn't going to hand either one the reins to the Bears. Everyone saw the disaster of the broncos when that happens right out of the gate.

2nd, they still have to pay Lovie 5 million or so this year. So I don't see them eating 10-15 million for coaches in a single year.

Norv was a great OC, so they probably should pursue him. I think Jerry would've hired him as HC had he been available, so you guys dodged THAT bullet at least.

Mike Holgrem is still a guy who is out there too. Not sure how much coaching ability he has left in him and it's not like his career as an office guy was that successful in Cleveland.

To be honest, I think he ruined his legacy by leaving Green Bay. Ron Wolf had a good insight by not wanting him to take over as HC and GM.

I think the Favre situation would have turned out different as well.

I don't see how you can fire Lovie Smith who was just shy of making the playoffs and had a winning record.

Kinda strange one there, maybe because he kept bringing on different OC's every year and none of the systems put in place were reliable against good opponents..

He took Seattle to the Superbowl. And no one wins in Cleveland, even Belichick.
