I assume McDaniel's long term job security depends on Tebow succeeding.

So over the next 2-3 years Denver will probably be transitioning to Florida's offense, tailored as much as it can be to the NFL.

No, I didn't watch the game. That's why I asked.

Seems weird that an elite athlete would have a problem like that and none of his coaches ever corrected it.

Didn't matter as much at the lower level and coaches in high school and college are generally more worried about getting a player integrated into their "system" using the talent the player already brings to the table. Tebow didn't need to worry about it in high school and college because he could tuck and run (which is part of the reason he kept the ball lower, it's easier to tuck) and be successful. That won't be nearly as successful in the NFL.

The thing with Tebow going to Denver is that he'll have at least 2-3 years of learning since they have enough QBs there already. It's a good deal for him. It's a very expensive deal for Denver though, to pay a guy that much. However he is a big athletic guy who could be a future winning NFL QB, it's just hard to say.

So who are the Vikings going to pick?? I don't particularly love Claussen or McCoy, but I can see where management might grab one of them. However, if Favre would agree to 1-2 more years, you could wait until next year's draft for a QB as well, but then you'd be forcing yourself to reach for a QB next year.

As of right now, I don't think we have as strong of a QB draft class next year, obviously things will change when they start playing again... But McCoy and Clausen are reasonably cheap QBs right now in the second round.

Not to mention that Tebow was surrounded by future NFL players who masked his flaws. Even the non-future NFL players at Florida are only a notch below NFL level as far as talent goes.

If Tebow had done what he did at FLA at, let's say, U of I - then I could see some 1st or 2nd round debates.

Did you see him at the Senior bowl? lol

most of the UF players taken will be on the defense, Tebow made the offense.

I have to admit, I think ESPN's done a really good job on covering the NFL draft in primetime. I wish they started a couple days earlier though so I could watch the whole thing and not affect my weekend

Really? I haven't watched ESPN but I have heard just about everyone talk about how horrible ESPN has been.

People are talking down the ESPN analysis because it constantly seems like the people are talking out of their asses, but the actual coverage of it is reasonably good.

the only thing I don't like is that they show the draft picks talking on the phone and celebrating a few minutes before the draft pick is announced. takes away all the suspense.

starting to get mindblowing at how far these QBs are going compared to how many teams suck at the QB spot.

ESPN playing the same song into and out of every commercial is stupid. The fact that it is Alicia Keys make me want to go to NY and punch Boomer in the nose.
