I did not watch the game or ads. But I saw this in my feed, what do you guys think of her take? https://archive.is/v1atS
Still watching on tape delay and I saw an ad for
the CBP!

Seriously WTF?

Does that 8M ad come out of taxpayers pockets
Do they know how many people/kids could feed with 8M?

efit
CBP is Customs and border patrol

I read that wrong and I was thinking, didn't they shut down the Corporation for Public Broadcasting?

Why would you think they'd care about such things? If those people need food assistance, maybe they should just stop being so damned poor!

Congratulations to the Cheatriots for losing a Super Bowl in 5 consecutive decades.
As a Broncos fan this game was a no win scenario for me. I don't like the Patriots, but I'm also still holding a grudge from Super Bowl 48.

If I'm being honest I put this year's half time show in the lower half of ones I've seen. Take out all the BS around the politics of it and the music just wasn't to my taste. But then again, I probably would say the same thing about Kendrick Lamar last year. Maybe it's just me but if you're a musician who's a "singer" then you should probably be able to carry a tune and not just be a lyricist.

"Please stop hating AI! Please!?"

The commercials are Super Slop

So true. It seems like the commercials were 90% AI and gambling websites - and I didn't like 90% of them. There were two outside of those that tugged at my heartstrings. One about family potato farming and one about Budweiser's 150th year in America (the horse and the eagle if you saw and remember it.)

The one AI commercial I did like was the Chris Hemsworth one about what if his female voiced AI Alexa was trying to kill him. Actually laughed aloud during that one.

As for the game. I did not care who won, but to my non-football savvy eyes, the Seahawks defense was super and had the Patriots figured out and on the run from the getgo.

And the halftime show. I'm one of the old folks who did not know who Bad Bunny was and had never listened to his music, but I thought the show was pretty darn good. Lively and so full of rhythm that I was dancing in my seat and his shout out to ALL the Americas was terrific.

Anyone watch the MAGA half-time show?

good game, go darnold

i watched the halftime show because of the drama, but i didn't understand much of it. some of the pictures were nice though.

I gave most all of the ads a look. If I didn't like what was going on after ~15 seconds, FF. There were some pretty good ones. There were ALOT extolling what AI can do for you especially if you aren't sophisticated enough to create toast from bread.

I watched Pat Finnerty stream while he watched it. It was about what you'd expect, though Bawitaba or however it's written is catchy. Zero interest in any NFL halftime show with or without politics.

Saw someone post on social media "Sorry Seahawks, even when you win it all, people would rather talk about the Patriots." Lol.

As a Bills fan, I hate that the refs decided to start calling penalties in OT instead of at the end of regulation.

The Athletic NYT has an explainer of the Bad Bunny show, and there is good stuff here (see two posts by Traditional_Rice_682):

Ok, the Dunkin commercial was decent.
huh, thought that wasn't funny at all.

Commercials I've seen so far are crap.

I wonder how much a minute.
Just looked. 8-10M for 30 seconds
yeah, SB commercials have been meh for a long time. Peyton Manning in the Budweiser wedding spot was funny, anything else?

Yo, I called it! :colbert: The way he was playing in the previous 2 games, I could see Super Bowl MVP a possibility.
:cookie: Congrats.

Broken clock, twice a day. 😛
