It's actually been 2097 days since the last bears win on 12/16/2018, unfortunately for the Bears it looks like Love should be back by the time they play again

Lions vs Bucs should be an interesting rematch from the playoffs

I don't watch a lot of football and didn't watch last night but this morning at the gym they had the TV on ESPN and they kept replaying every single concussion hit of his career - over and over and over. Probably 20 minutes of the same 4 plays. I had to turn away from the TV, I didn't want to watch that. How can people just keep watching him get hit and do the fencing pose over and over? What a crummy thing for ESPN to show on loop.

Yea that's not cool. I watch a lot of football, and I don't remember seeing someone clearly getting a concussion as much as Tua with the fingers curling. TBH, he's probably been concussed more than what they counted, just didn't exhibit the symptoms as pronounced. He got paid (although the injury probably voided a lot of the money) he should just ride off into the sunset and spend the rest of his life with his family, or participate in football in some other capacity.

Not to say you're wrong, but he did get up and walk off on his own two feet. Obviously the fencing pose is creepy, but otherwise NFL players had been hiding concussions for decades until recent protocols were adopted. As you know, Steve Young had numerous concussions in his Hall of Fame career, most undisclosed.

Tua's contract is 4 years, $212M (headline figure) and if it's typical, then some 2/3 of that is fully guaranteed. That's generational wealth if he just wants to walk away so that his brain doesn't get destroyed any further.

I'm surprised if ESPN kept looping him getting mauled because broadcast TV tends to be more respectful about bad NFL injuries nowadays.

It's a bit of a bang-bang play, but once Tua gained first down yardage, he HAS to immediately slide. Mahomes is really good at avoiding the hit, and I'm sure most teams practice this quite a bit.

CMC out, Shanahan & Co. considering IR. Bad for my fantasy but I'll ride the Mason train for a few weeks. Only concern is the dude runs hard. Could easily get injured. I can't remember who we have as backups. Mason was our 3rd stringer originally with Mitchell going out for the rest of the year.

Strange week as several preseason top contenders lose:
Ravens (0-2), Niners, and Lions

Too early to panic in B'more? 😛

And LOL @ the Cowboys getting stomped in their home opener.

It's weird to see a score of 21-18 where one team scored 3 TDs, but that team isn't the one with 21 points.
Gano got injured on the first kickoff, so the Giants were playing without a kicker.
If forces beyond natural control weren't happening, this is probably a Giants victory just like almost every previous time....

LOL Panthers bench Bryce Young, elevate Andy Dalton.

These things tend to self-correct but even for the high parity NFL, who had these team records after two weeks?

Ravens 0-2
Bengals 0-2
Steelers 2-0
Chargers 2-0
Vikings 2-0
Saints 2-0

Edit:
ESPN's Bill Barnwell estimates the Bengals and Ravens still have about a 40% chance to make the playoffs. For other 0-2 teams, it's much worse:

ESPN - Which 0-2 teams still have a shot at the playoffs? Barnwell ranks all nine
