Okay..
so i start testing a cpu out...
i prime tested my 0310wpmw for 6+ at 2400 @ 1.8 volts .... good speed... solid temps... good to go!
so i try to test 11.5 x 208 ~ 2400 @ 1.85 volts... no boot... 🙁 *note* - i relaxed my ram timings as well to make sure it wasn't the ram
so i clear cmos.. and restart again...
so with the abit when you clear cmos, it saves all you bios settings but boots the computer up at 11 x 100..
so i set it back to 12 x 200 = 2400 @ 1.8 volts... no boot...
🙁
clear cmos again...
go back into bios... all my settings are the same... save bios and WHAM! boots up!!!
so i thought this was VERY strange...
before i thought it was a ram issue... i relaxed my settings from the previous 2226 to 2336 in order to have it run at this speed because when i rebooted it wouldn't boot up at 2226 unless i upped vcore to 1.875volts...
weird huh?
this board is weird but everything works fine... don't know why it's so fickle... i have to clear cmos two times in order for it to boot up IF i change the fsb... if i change the mult, everything is fine!
oh well...
my old 0310upmw did 12 x 200 @ 1.875volts... now that i've determined that this board is fickle.. i've dropped the voltage to 1.8 volts to see if it would work.. well comp froze while i was typing this the first time... so i upped vcore to 1.825 and it's still running prime and it's running a lot cooler as well...
let's see if it can do 6 hours of prime at this voltage... 🙂
either way, i'm gonna have a chip to selll of that can do 2.4 ghz @ 1.8 volts (1.74 actual 0310wpmw) or 2.4 @ 1.825 volts (hopefully) (1.76 actual 0310upmw)
🙂 🙂 🙂
