This is a new computer I just finished building. Here's what I've got:
Antec KS-188, Antec TruePower 480W, Abit NF7-S v2.0, Athlon XP 2100+ TBred rev.B (AIUHB), 2X Corsair XMS 3500C2 256MB DDR RAM, Western Digital 800JB 80GB, Gainward GeForce4 Ti4800SE 8X AGP 128MB DDR VIVO, Lite On 52/24/52 CD-RW, Thermalright SLK-900U, Samsung 955DF 19" monitor
Right now, I have the motherboard out of the case and only the bare essentials connected; CPU, one stick of RAM, and video card.
When I turn on the computer, I get one beep
Then this shows on the monitor for a second:
"Geforce4 NV28
Version 4.28.20.21.00
Copyright (c) 1996-2002 Nvidia Corp
128.00MB RAM"
Then that stuff goes off the monitor and then it's just a flashing cursor on the top left of the screen and stays there, nothing else happens.
No POST at all.
I've tried resetting the CMOS many times and I've tried booting without the CMOS battery, same thing happens every time.
Does anybody have any ideas what I can try next?
