nf7-s freezing Linux with IDE led on ...

i have a nf7-s rev 2.0 and this problem, winxp runs ok but 2.6.5 linux kernel doesnt ...

it runs great for a while and then freezes the system, but the hdd led is reaaly on, as would have very heavy ide use ...

does anyone have seen this ?

is this mobo lost ?

brand new one, 2 weeks old only ...
