NF7-S Dual mode and W2K

Something odd is happening with Dual DDR in W2k.

I just did memtest86 again now that I'm using Dual.

Memtest86 stated 1014 mb per second on single channel.
But when using Dual it stated 1635 mb per second.

This is a 61 percent increase in bandwidth.

But this is not so in W2K.
My Sandra test gives these results. (v9.31)

Single - Dual

3101 - 3183
2894 - 3014

Looks to me like windows needs a registry tweak to get the true benifit.

Maybe Sandra is only using one of the two memory controllers. The board has two and they are independent of eachother... the northbridge load-balances between them.

Thanks for replys...

I actually am running 5/5 divider...

I did see a 30 frame increase in some of the 3dmark01 demos in places.
I think you may be right about Sandra.

I had to up the core voltage to 1.825 for an actual 1.80v to stableize Prime95.
So far so good ... this Corsair memory still only needs default voltage ... how sweet it is ...

I do have some hangups during BIOS changes... I'm hoping I wont be a victim of the dreaded BIOS update corruption problem.
Although I think I have found my sweet spot. Hopefully no more tweaking for awhile. And I may pick up the BIOS savor from eXcaliber.
