I just put together a new system with NF7-S and Seagate V SATA. I'm trying to install windows by booting from the XP CDROM, but it tells me that:
"SETUP did not find any hard disks drives installed in your computer".
I have SATA enabled in the BIOS and RAID setup screen shows drive installed:
* 0 PM ST380023AS 76319MB.
I don't use RAID, but this is the only place I can see that a drive is installed. Am I missing something here?

When the install starts does it allow you to load a drive for SCSI/RAID etc? Windows 2000 does and maybe that's what's needed so it will see your drive.

When windows install first launches, it will invite you to press F6 if you want to install SCSI drivers. When it does, press F6 a bunch of times. It will act as if it is ignoring your presses, and continue loading files, but eventually it will ask if you want to load an additional SCSI driver, and prompt you to put the driver disk in your floppy drive. When this happens, put the SATA driver disk in your floppy. You may as well download the latest SATA drivers onto a floppy--the ones that come with the current 1.2 NF7-S boards are several versions old.
