I just don't get it. I've had a 250 gig WD as a slave drive with no problems. Just grabbed a 300gb maxtor and want it as my OS drive but can't get past the 137mb limit.... I do not want to use the software "workaround" with the MaxBlast floppy.

Also, My BIOS is up to date..

Any ideas?????
 
Wow same Mobo (bios 6.0?) and HDD. Using it right now, secondary slave. Shows as 279.47 gb though. :disgust:

Just went to control panel, administrative tools, computer managment, disk management.
Dynamic disk, partition, then quick format.
 
Assuming you're using Windows XP you have to have SP1 or 2 installed to see a drive larger than 137GB.
