Building a new A64 based computer and want the NF4 Ultra chipset (no SLI). I would like to o/c some but am not going to o/c this thing hardcore. I want a stable board with as few issues/bugs as possible and I need performance for gaming. I have narrowed it down to the 2 choices below. They are both in my budget of about $150. I've only used Asus before and have had no problems, have never tried DFI but have heard good things. Which would you recommend and why?

Asus

Also, any other recommendations?
Any brands to avoid?

Thanks

For a stable system it's very important to pick:

- a good PSU. Wattage is not everything, pick a good brand;
- and memory. Make sure it's on the compatibility list of the board you choose.

Both boards are good but the DFI has more features and costs the same.

yeah I have a 500watt Fortron and am using the Crucial Ballistix mem.
So you say both are about the same? I'll have to compare all the features again. Thanks

If the ballistix is compatible with the DFI, get it. Just make sure its compatible first! It is very picky about ram.

DFI, quality capacitors, mofset heatsinks, and a bios that is simply incredible. There are so many great features for the money...quite a bargain,
