Why does it matter now? DUAL Core is so rare now that by the time you are ready to purchase it a BIOS for almost every 939 motherboard made should be avlable for download. So why worry when you don't have one or really can't get one at this moment.
 
According to MSI's site, the K8N Neo2 Platinum is good to go for dual core, Venice, and San Diego. However, this same site stil lists v. 1.8 as the latest BIOS, so we'll still have to await an official BIOS update.
