Did it also have the capability to make phone calls over WIFI? I know they added it into the G2, but I am curious to see if the Nexus S ships with that capability.

i don't think it comes with it stock, but it was hacked on to the N1. someone will probably figure out a way to get it on the NS as well.
 
Picked mine up this morning. Seems pretty snappy so far. Haven't really messed around with the new google maps yet, but will definitely jump in a bit later to test it. Work is getting in the way of having fun with my new gear 🙁 😛

So what about the WiFi tethering?
 
Looks like Google got the JIT on Hummingbird to work correctly or at least on par with the snapdragon. That was what I was hoping out of Google and Nexus S.
 
Got my nexus S and am using it right now. UI is snappy and the screen is a big upgrade from the N1. I do like the fit and finish of the N1 better. This just seems very plasticky. Seems also more lighter than the N1.
