Nexus S might be the next Google phone

Fascinate is like the bastard child of Galaxy S. All other Galaxy S have official or leaked 2.2 Froyo roms except for the Fascinate. I thought Epic would be the odd one with keyboard and Touchwiz 2.5 but even that now has leaked Froyo rom. i9000 and Vibrant might get finished CyanogenMod 6.1 before Fascinate get 2.2 Froyo.

Cyanogen beta is out for i9000, with compatibility kernels already for Captivate and Vibrant. Meanwhile Verizon has a *non-Froyo* Fascinate update *in testing* -- and not at the end of testing, so the rumor goes. Fortunately it did get leaked.

All the GSM models will have both finished Cyanogen and probably a beta/finished Gingerbread port from the Nexus S before us Fascinate folk get Froyo (maybe even before leaked Froyo). Unless perhaps people get tired of waiting and backport the Verizon Galaxy Tab Froyo... Or Samsung gives US Cellular something before #@%@^ Verizon.
