Nexus one on Sprint, I'll bite. I really want to hardware keyboard as the Hero is about to drive me back to my Pre but for everything else the phone has hardware wise I can live it.

Technology GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900
Voice Frequencies 850/900/1800/1900
Data Technology 850/1900 MHz, 1xRTT + 1xEvDO, integrated Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, Bluetooth® 2.0
Data Frequencies Tri Band UMTS/HSDPA (850/1900/2100 MHz)
3G Yes
UMA No
Data Throughput Speed Not Available

It's probably just for Verizon though.

I have a feeling disappointing sales is not so much a result of the phone, as which network it's currently on. Sending it to a larger one like ATT would probably help things.

Yep, put it on AT&T. As they don't have enough issues. It will go to a larger network, Verizon this spring.

Our engineers have uncovered specific cases for which a software fix should improve connectivity to 3G for some users. We are testing this fix now, initial results are positive, and if everything progresses as planned, we will provide an over-the-air software update to your phone in the next week or so. It may be, however, that users are experiencing problems as a result of being on the edge or outside of 3G coverage, which a product fix cannot address.

Thanks again for your patience and for your feedback, and we will continue to keep you informed.

Thanks,

LOL, I love it, Google blames TMobile for the shitty 3G reception of the Nexus One.

That really explains how the G1 gets 4 bars/3G when the Nexus One right next to it shows 2 bars & Edge.

I suspect it's a hardware/firmware issue, and it'll never go away without an antenna redesign.

Um, they said right there that part of the problem is software side and they're fixing it. They're just also adding that some people with the "Yeah, me too!" syndrome are possibly just in shitty coverage areas. Which, knowing T-Mobile, is likely true.

I think those specs actually show ATT's 3G bands, not T-Mobile's.

Edit: I see that it's already been mentioned that it lists EVDO as well. Highly unlikely that those specs are real, then.

The EVDO spec makes sense as it's supposed to be coming to Verizon by spring. If it was out now, I bet it would be selling.
