Nexus 6P, Motorola X Force, or Lenovo Z Force?

Hi everybody

Looking for a new smartphone for 500$ max. The camera, battery life, and longevity are important for me. So far I am really interested in the Nexus 6P:

pros: good camera, stock Android and immediate updates, fingerprint sensor. Good specs overall.
cons: not shatterproof, camera has no OIS.

And the Moto X Force:

pros: shatterproof display, good battery, overall good specs, shatterproof display, shatterproof display.
cons: according to various reviews, the camera is not the best, Android updates?

Does anybody know both and can compare these two phones?

Now I found out that the Motorola Z Force launched recently. On paper this seems to be the phone I was looking for: good camera, good battery, shatterproof display. There are two problems though, which are price and availability. Right now it is priced safely above my threshold, but on the X Force the price tumbled quickly.

The second problem is that the Z Force seemingly isn't available in Europe. The Z Droid doesn't feature the shatterproof display, so it doesn't make sense for me to wait until it is more reasonably priced here.

Given all these considerations, which phone would you guys recommend?

Is there any reason why you are making the choice today?

October 4 Google is going to have an event where they announce two new google HTC phones (we know new google phone hardware is coming for it hit the FCC regulatory body in mid August). Aka the new nexus, except rumors are that they may abandon the name nexus and replace it with something else such as pixel.

Oh it doesn't have to be today, but I don't want to wait several months either. Is the release of the phones usually shortly after the announcement? In that case it could be wise to wait for the google HTC phones. If they are expected to be below 500$, that is.

I have not recommended any Motorola device since April and I will continue to not recommend them.
Of those specific phones you listed, the Nexus 6P is the only credible option.

Wait until October 4th for the Pixel phones from Google. If you're not interested in the new Google Pixel phones, you can still use that opportunity to snag a Nexus 6P for a lower price than paying for one today.

Are there any particular problems with Motorola smartphones? The Z Force looks good on paper, and the shatterproof display is neat. Thank you for the tipp about the pricedrop of the Nexus 6P. Right now is not the best time to pick up a Nexus 6P.

The last Googler(Rick Osterloh) left Motorola and went back to Google in April as a SVP of hardware.
Motorola is now run by 2 Chinese henchmen and can no longer guarantee something as simple as the Android monthly security updates. Pitiful. Don't even get me started about the "modules" crap about their phones.

Well the 'modules' aren't interesting me either. It's the shatterproof display that I find offers something important no other company can provide. Missing security updates are a big no no, though.

Google announced the Nexus 6p on 9/29/15 They were hooping for customers having the phones in their hands about 3 to 4 weeks later in mid to late October. Google did start shipping some nexuses in late october but to various logistical problems most people did not receive their device until the end of the 1st week of November, others received their phones in the 2nd week of november. Note Google gave some people who had such a long wait a $25 dollar credit. This was a small controversy last year.

A release within a month of announcement is fine by me. It's more that if it starts at a price of 700$ I wouldn't want to wait until that came down. But in that case the Nexus 6P would still be an option.
