If you want to show off then yea it'll be worth it but as for utility, not worth the price.

I don't recall plugging in a USB cable to be so difficult as to require a $60 "solution."

Considering the Nexus 4 uses standard wireless charging equipment, why not just use 3rd party.

the cheapest decent ones are around $40. the phone lies flat, and they don't look as nice.

i got one orb for the office and one for the nightstand.

it would've been nice if the Nexus 10 also supported wireless charging. this is the fragmentation that pisses me off. what about next year's nexus? they better all have wireless charging capabilities...

Pretty outrageous pricing, but then again, ever since they announced that the Lumia 920 / Droid DNA / Nexus 4 supported wireless charging, even the 3rd party solutions have shot up in price.

I got this for $19.99 in September when Nokia announced that the Lumia 920 would support it: http://www.amazon.com/Energizer-Qi-E...rds=qi+charger

Sure am glad I didn't wait....

Price is Apple like but I've come to expect that from Google and accessories and upgrades. If people are willing to pay for $20 bumpers, $100 16gb storage upgrade, and $60 wireless chargers and pay tax and 2 day shipping, why not?

If this thing came out in November when I bought my phone, I'd have bought this without much hesitation. Now I'm not sure I really want it...

I disagree. Wireless charging is awesome because it avoids wear and tear on the USB port. The downside of course is increased heat (wear and tear on the battery) but that is much easier to replace.

"Wear and tear" of USB ports are completely overstated IMO.
I've never had a phone where the USB port goes bad, but then again maybe it' because I handle things carefully.

The non-removable battery in the Nexus 4 is more likely to die/lose it's charging potential first before "wear and tear" of the USB port ever becomes an issue for me.

Strikes me as little more than novelty. Yes, it's cool but I have no issues with plugging the phone in. Wouldn't buy it even if it was cheaper.

It's pretty but pricey. I will wait for wireless charging to be more widespread.

I've scratched my Nexus 4 quite a bit, so I lost the urge to buy any novelty items for it.

It may be an unfair comparison, but wireless charging was bad enough on palm devices to make it something i will never deal with again.

Definitely not worth it. Plus I charge my phone in multiple spots. That'd be $180 worth of wireless chargers for 3 locations, and it doesn't even support my other devices.
