I just discovered these two programs over at Wincustomize.com and they are REALLY cool. It gives you a whole different layout for your desktop. I think their main site is winstep Its only a 30 day trial but its sweet.

Check out my desktop HERE

LiteStep is better. 10x more configurable than NextSTART to make your desktop look and function any way you want it, no shareware or price tag, and much less of a resource hog.

My LS Desktop

hehehehe

You just reminded me of a joke I played on my dad last time I was in LA. I took a screenshot of his desktop after hiding the curser and used it as wallpaper. Hide the icons, and it is the funniest thing ever. Make sure you are there to put it back the way it was though.

hehehehe

<< How hard is it to stup Litestep? And how stable is it? >>

Stability isn't much of an issue if you use a stable release such as build 0.24.6. Setup isn't too hard if you don't mind getting your hands dirty just bit. Start out with LSDistro or OTS which are distros of LS that have installers and provide easy theme swapping. Just read up on it before you begin and it shouldn't be too much trouble.

LiteStep.com
Shellfront.org

both have ample documentation.
