Nextel sucks!!!!!!

god i hate nextel so much@!@!
these morons have been screwing up with my billing since day 1. I finally cancel my account in November and they tell me I owe them $568 bucks. After arguing with them over the phone, I found out they were giving me the wrong govt employee discount and they said they started an investigation. those #$@#$@#$#$@ idiots told me not to pay the balance till the investigation was complete. Turns out they sent my account for collections on Dec 27th and its going to hit my credit history. Also they're telling me that the investigation wasn't complete till january 15th 2003. Why the hell would they send it off before finishing their investigation???? and they denied the 30% discount even though its their stupid moronic rep that told me so. I wouldn't have added more features if I hadn't been given this stupid discount. Now they're telling me that they can't do anything. And the CSR has the audacity to call me a liar as well@!@!#@!#@! Theres more but i'm too pissed off to finish typing it up. What can i do about these people? My credit history is going to be hit because of these stupid idiot dumba$$es &^%&%

I've got a fax i saved which i sent to them originally with my govt id card. It has the rep's name and her manager's name and a statement that says 30% discount on telephone service
they're telling me its non of my business what happend to the rep

ahhh now the collection agency is telling me my balance is $568!@#!@ I told them Nextel themselves gave me the $200 credit but no go
These reasons are why I hate corporate America sometimes

is there any solution? I am going to pay the collection agency to ensure it won't hit my credit history but I can't let Nextel get away with this
I already filed a complaint with the BBB but it doesn't feel like its enough

I've used many nextel phones... and absolutely love them. Their customer service is not worth the electrons to talk about, but I love their technology and phones. They're really functional. If I wanted to play games, I would have bought a laptop or PDA (which I've done :))

have you tried AT&T? I've tried almost all the cell phone services and by far, AT&T has been the best so far.

Verizon has ALWAYS been nice to me. Their tech people aren't the best but the customer service is awesome from my experience.

I had the same problem when I cancelled. They kept sending me bills and never turned off the phone. I called and called. They sent it to a collection agency and said I owed $980.00. Haha, I truned over all the papers and fialed a complaint with the NY State Attorneys General Office. After about 6 weeks I got a response, the matter was taken care of and I never have gotten another call or bill from them since. This was 18 months ago. They are clowns and thiefs.
