Nextel: as a new customer, can i negotiate a contract?

I'm currently with AT&T and LOVE my service, however, i'm in envy of all my buddies who have Nextel service. Nextel offers promotional plans, just like any other carrier, as well as "everyday plans" that's offered to anybody.

Is there any way to "barter" a contract and say, for example, "i want xx minutes, or free data package" or something to that extent?

What is your Nextel service plan? (anytime minutes, long distance, night and weekends, etc)

i got free internet and two way text messaging that way, you can PM for my number (however, i've since cancelled my account with them)

unless you have a corporate connection with them somehow (get them through work), most likely not.

i only got my nextel because there was a discount through work. from what i've seen, they do not negotiate with consumers over the phone for a special plan.
