Have you bought it yet? If so, how much did you have to give for something like that?

ok ok I bought it
ask me how much?

$250 !! LOL!!

The P.O. says there is no rear end damage. LOL. I can sell the rear window alone for $250.
He's also delivering it to my front door for a total of $500. A three hour drive for him.
Good start.
On top of it all he also said that it has a brand new stage 2 clutch.

i know! But I'm a little concerned now. the owner was supposed to call me last night to set up a delivery time (I am working around his schedule) but he never did. I left a message and will try again tomorrow. ill be pissed if he decided to back down on his word. dealing with people selling cars online can sometimes feel like pulling nails! Grrrrrr! IM sure the feeling is mutal for those dealing with idiot buyers.

Good luck with this one!!!

God I love the looks on those mr2s.

Someday I will have one again...someday...

If the interior is cleanish on the donor you could get a couple hundred for that too.

When it comes to the engine what kinda troubles will you have have with harness/ecu?

I am also curious about how you're going to do engine management. You're certainly going to have fun getting all of that together

whoa thats awesome... If I had the cash I would totally go for a '67 Fastback. But alas, thats about $10-15,000 over my total price range. And the ride wouldnt be nearly as balls the walls and corner capable as the MK1.5 MR2. Im searching for more performance than show.

It will take a lot of work, and a lot of time... but thats kinda the idea. Right now Im actually working on moving into another house with a larger heated garage which may allow me to work over winter. fingers crossed.

and thats all based on me actually getting the cars... lolbbq

I think you're the only guy I've ever "met" who has said "Hmm, I think I want to learn how to work on cars..."...and then goes and buys tools, a welder, all sorts of other stuff, and then moves to get a bigger heated garage for projects. :awe:

hehe, yea yea. The garage Im in worked for the small project 'single mr2' - but if Im going to have two mr2s, and then my daily driver... i need to move. Bigger better garage for bigger better projects!

Man, things are going so well with this project so far! buddy with the clean mk1 shell finally counter offered for $600.
So far IM only $1100 and have the most expensive parts of the build!

Sorry if I update too much. Just excited.
