Keep the updates coming Fuzzy. I enjoy reading them. I was hoping to see more pictures during your engine rebuild. Did I miss them? I remember looking at the tear down and then the pile of parts on the crate fresh from the shop.

oh boy, Ive been doing HOURS of research.
Sometimes it is a little overwhelming, and I get frustrated dealing with these DPO's (damn previous owners) but then I watch these videos and feel encouraged. http://www.youtube.com/user/califcarm#p/a/u/2/su4LPV3Eat4 http://www.youtube.com/user/califcarm#p/a/u/1/euWvmf-jn28
The more I read about this swap, the more confident I feel that I can do this. I KNOW I can do this.
I also visited my bank the other day just to see what my options were as far as moving goes. I have approval for more than I expexted. 😉 Now I just need to find the perfect garage *ahem* 'house'.
Ive lined up a truck and trailer to pick up the clean '86 MR2 Shell, and will hopefully do that on friday evening - its a two hour drive away from me. The fellow with the '92 MR2 had to cancel on tuesday because he is short handed at work. He is hopefully going to deliver on saturday sometime.
1986 N/A MR2. The motor is blown but the body is in decent shape where is matters. It still has its share of rust, but not in any load bearing places. This will make a decent MK1.5
Shitty enough to be unsuspecting, but good enough to be able to handle the boost!
$600 - the fellow I bought it from showed me the last registration of it... it said he bought this car for $2400 in May 2011... one blown engine later and 1/4 the value. Ouch.
