I hope these 2 dumbass kids get in as much trouble as legally possible. that is just ridiculous, no matter what the reason is.

The lawyers should also get jail time for defending this as a "prank". It was obviously no prank.

OMG. What's going on with our world?!

Those kids should be suspended or expelled. Isn't that attempted murder or summit?

They could just be ignorant and stupid. Do you think they were actually intending to harm/kill people?

Lawyers for the girls said the cake was a prank, and that they had no intention to harm anyone.

School officials are still trying to determine a motive.

I am sure no one will appericate a "prank" like this.

Well I guess we can throw out their constitutional rights out the window while we're at it. Hell, we'll just get rid of the entire court system.

Yeah, I agree with this. They were only 13, I don't think they knew the full consequences of what could have happened. Fvcked up none the less.

Pretending for a moment that this is true, they should be convicted of gross stupidity and sentenced to death. Let their lawyer then choose which defense path he wants to go down...

i agree

Nah... more like "next time your stupid kid keeps harrassing these two students and they finally respond by forgiving them and bringing them munchies, don't trust it"

or

"next time your kids are getting harrassed at school and want to retaliate by poisoning the other kids, don't be a dumbass goof-of-a-parent and SUPERVISE what they cook"

So 2 13 year olds serving up some fvcked up brownie concoction is equivalent to them entering the school with assault rifles?

I'm not condoning their actions in any way, but I have a hard time believing that they were intending to kill a bunch of students with baked goods. But who knows these days?

Uh... why would the lawyers get jail time? Their job is to defend their client. Period. They do that by finding ways to justify the actions of their client or provide enough doubt that their client actually committed the crime in question to begin with.

My little girl is already not allowed to bring any home made snacks to class on the days when they bring stuff in. Their loss; I make a mean chocolate chip.

oh, but that 13 year old boy who put a stripper at gun point did know what he was doing?

Think back to when you were 13, you knew damn well what you were doing...

Ahhhhh... the rolling eyes!!!

Seriously though, it might not be assault rifles and grenades, but the article did mention prescription drugs and bleach... enough the drug, to someone allergic to the prescription, might in itself be enough to cause a severe reaction, or possibly death (obviously, an extreme circumstance, but possible).

String'em up and 20 lashes with a metre stick to start, then make them eat what they made...

pffit n00bs, all i got to say is sodium azide (LD-50 = 27mg/kg or about 2 grams for a 185lb man), I messed with that stuff yesterday (inclusion body solubilization) and if sodium cyanide is #1 this is a close #2...

okay so for you guys who are saying "oh they are only kids, they were trying to play a prank" ... do you really think these kids thought it would be funny? i mean it's not like they had tried drinking bleach before and were like 'oh man that tastes so bad! it would be great to trick people into eating it!', and thats not counting the big warning label on the side of it.

not to mention, they put prescription drugs in it.

now i don't know about you all, but by the time i was about 6 or 7 I knew what i could and couldn't put in my mouth. i even knew you weren't supposed to consume toothpaste by then, yet alone any other type of soap/cleaning products. these kids obvously were trying to harm people by doing this, and its inexcusable. like i said in my OP, i hope that they get in trouble for this and they don't get off with something like a 3 day suspension.

Nobody in any school that I've ever been to has ever been allowed to bring home-made goods for parties and other events other than lunch.
