Clark Kent Casting Notes (2003): (1/16/03) According to a rumor sent to AICN, three top contenders right now might be Ashton Kutcher, Kip Pardue and Barry Watson (all three of whom sort of fit into a similar kind of hunky look, I just noticed; very strong cheekbones all around). I don't know if I'm crazy about any of them in particular, but I suppose if I had to pick from just those three, I'd say Ashton Kutcher. We've mostly seen him in goofy comedies, but that same Midwestern goofiness would do well for Clark Kent, actually.

Actually, I saw his response on TV when asked about the role. He feels that whoever takes the role would be "jinxed" which makes him a bit reluctant to take it.

Now, if $20M were flashed in front of his face, maybe his answer would change.
