Anybody who mentions voyager as anything good loses all credibility immidately.

IMO Wrath of Kahn, Voyage Home and First Contact were the only really good ST movies.

If they can make the movie seem like a movie rather than a 2 hour episode, and if they can remove Berman and/or Braga (if he's a part of it) from the project, then it has a chance. I don't think there's anything wrong with Star Trek per se, but all this crappy, cliched writing and poor casting has to go. First Contact could have been great, but the whole way they set things on Earth was just stupid.

I thought First Contact could have been better...kinda sucked.

It's incredible, and if you watch the Enterprise mirror episode, one of the sequences becomes really funny.

James Bond has 21. . . Friday the 13th . . . 10 or 11 I think.

21 Bond Movies  I thought I saw them all, maybe not.

So is the movie gonna be set in the post-nuclear period of earth. Are we gonna get to see the development of warp technology etc.

I haven't liked a single picard trek movie. So No Picard = better.

Also, the mirror universe enterprise started off "ok" in that campy homage way, and by the end of the 2nd episode it was a good reminder of why the show was cancelled... because it sucked.

Oh god oh god oh god oh god...I knew hollywood would do it eventually.

THIS IS THE STARFLEET ACADEMY idea they were throwing around before the first TNG movie.

Kirk, McCoy, Scotty and Spock as cadets at starfleet.

Hate to tell you trekkies, but they're going to turn our beloved TOS into hollywood heart-throbs. Motherfvckers.

Don't take our word for it: William Shatner got a Trifecta in 1989! Worst movie, worst actor, and worst director...that's not easy to do! 🙂

No, this is NOT the 'academy' idea. B&B (the guys who ruin everything they touch) are desperately interested in pushing that idea, but Paramount won't have it.

Paramount is, instead, looking at the ratings of the 'TOS flashback' episodes and the runaway success of the online fan productions ('Starship Exeter' having more individual downloads than the 'Enterprise' premiere episode had viewers! And, FWIW, the trailer for their next episode ACTUALLY looks pretty good...and not just 'for a fan film' - it really looks good!) and just making a logical decisions. Fans like TOS, so TOS is what we will get.
