Next nVidia Cards?

Hello all, i bought a 670 and returned it because its not much better than my 570 1.25gb. Im wondering what would you reccomend that is better than 670? I know the 660ti is coming soon. Are there going to be any better releases within the next 6 months?
im mostly playing bf3
thanks

a 670 wasn't better than a 570? The following charts say different. Anyway in 6 months I don't think anything will be around that will displace the 670/680 from Nvidia.

Better than a 670: Geforce 680, AMD 7970 GE

670 is about 50% better than a 570 in bf3. If that didn't appear "much better" in your system, there are a few options:

1) Something isn't working correctly
2) You're processor bound
3) You had unrealistic expectations

Pretty much what he said. What are the specs of the rest of your system?

3) I had unrealistic expectations

lets see asus pz68-Pro gen 3, i52500k, 16gb 1600RAM, caviar black HD, evga 570 1.25gb, 24" benQ monitor.

The only thing worthwhile now from a gtx570 is a custom cooled 7970 that enables you to really flex its power with overclocking and voltage control to hit 1.3ghz or so. But honestly i wouldn't recommend it, if u already had ~gtx580 perf (oc that gtx570 a bit), just wait til the next-gen comes.

yea, it was definately better, but not as much as i expected for $399($430 with tax) i dont know where people are finding the ftw version for $350..

I think in 6 months we will have AMD 8950 and 8970. The 7970 and the 7950 were launched Jan 9, 2012 and Jan 31, 2012, respectively. The 6970 and the 6950 were launched Dec 15, 2010.

I will run a higher resoloution, atleast 1080P
precision X says its always maxed out while playing bf3
people are saying the 670 is almost as good as 680, but 680 has 4gb ram and a little more cudas

It depends on the resolution and game. Some games can definitely use more than 2GB with certain settings and resokutions.

lol, did you break your keyboard? it seems you have been misspelling words left and right today.

4gb is basically useless on a single 670 as it cant play at settings that would use more than 2gb. maybe with some crazy insane texture mod but that is about it.

1080p is standard. I meant 2560x1440 or 5760x1080

True, would need SLI to actually benefit from it

Like i said,
im playing bf3 mostly, and probably the next bf4, etc.. when they come out. i would like to play at higher resoloutions on ultra. when i play now the card is always maxed out at 99%, even the 670

thanks for the help guys
