Next MICROSOFT OFFICE release

Office 2003 is a year or so old.
Any word on when new office suite is due out?

Not much is known. Rumors say summer 2006 at the earliest. I found this article which has a little bit of info.

Windows hasn't undergone a major revision since 2001. It's entirely possible Office won't be touched until 2006/2007. Besides, what more features can microsoft cram into office that aren't already there?

Agreed, there haven't been many compelling reasons to upgrade Office in the last two versions (2002 and 2003).
