i wonder what kind of technology would the next geration of video cards muster......dows any one have any news when the next gen cards are comming out and what would they be like

provide sources or just give input on what u think abt how cads would be like.
2 cores...?
seperate physics engine....?
1gb card..........?
dx10 cards.....?

Open your mind and dive deep ino the creative part of your imagination( take a piss )!! :), after all the makers of the next gen cards would probably be thinking in the same lines as we are over here............

First of all, gpus are beyond two cores already. You could go as far as saying each pipe is a core, as each processes pixel data in parallel, or you could say that each quad is a "core". Either way, gpus are already massively parallel, the idea of a multi core gpu would be new somewhere around the pre tnt era.

A physics engine is a possibility.

Memory on the gpus will always go up, so 1GB cards can be expected in time.

Support for the next version of DirectX is very likely.

When it all comes down to it you can say this and only this of the next generation cards:

"They will be faster"

Google 'R600' and 'G80', and you will find out pretty much all of what anyone outside of ATI and NVIDIA "knows" about the next gen cards.
