I consider this a step in the wrong direction. I really like the Bauhaus-inspired looks of the original TT, and this seems more like a homogenized mishmash of other people's cars.
IMO Audi will probably never make what I consider a true sports car (save perhaps their planned supercar, and we'll see about even that), because they have such a strong tendency toward incorporating understeer and gravitating toward safety at all costs. As such, the TT is more of a GT/personal luxury car than anything else, and will probably always be less fun to drive than a 3/4-series BMW. This makes style critical, and to me this car is stylistically-challenged compared to its predecessor.
