Next-Gen LCD monitors?

Anyone know when the next Gen LCD monitors are gonna arrive? Should I wait or buy an LCD now? I stole my little brothers monitor and he's kinda pissed about it 🙂

i don´t know if this can be considered the next gen but i read on TomsHardware that they will soon review monitors based on a new Hyundai panel -hydis 10ms-,... yes a panel with a response time of 10ms. But only a review can say if this new panel will perform well in color and gray to gray response time situations.

I've started looking at the Samsung as the primary choice for a system I'm building. I'm hedging between it and the highend Dell Ultrasharp: both have gotten positive reviews.

Does anyone know why it seems not possible to make bigger than 17" lcds with low response times?
