i think that it's law, that there are front-lights. so if the new 456 has pop-up (sorry don't know the english word) lights like the old 456 did, they would defnetly show to much of the car. so they maybe covered the pop-up lighta. but as they still need front-lights, the glued some ugly pieces on the front. just my guess, but for me it makes sense... Err.. The headlights look as if they pop out of the car.. if they were disguised, I'd believe they'd try and change the shape of them.. unless they purposely removed panels and modified the hood.
I don't want to get into this argument, but the spy shots of the Enzo had the exact same round headlights tacked onto the front of the car - and how did that turn out? The round headlights on the 456 test mule really don't mean anything.Originally posted by: Luagsch

I like the direction that Porsche is going with the 997 (at least I hope they go this way). It looks a little bit more like the 993 and previous 911's than the 996's. I think the biggest mistake was using the same front end on the Boxster as they did on the 911.
