How can thread be complete without the N90?

I've been trying to find out more about the video quality of the N90. I've seen a couple of movie clips here and here, but I'm not sure if they've been enhanced or not since they were actually released by Nokia as phone demos. Can anyone confirm the video quality of the N90? Have these movies been 'doctored' or not?

You guys are talking about the N90 when the N91 is on the verge of release which kills everything out now supposedly.

Then you have a K750i/W800i which beats the CRAP out of an N90. I've done heads up comparison for pictures and K750i wins. N90 has a little better video but with recent firmware, SE is back in the game.

I don't see how you guys are all talking Motorola when they're probably the worst company in the world for phones. If you want new stuff, check out Sony Ericsson or Nokia, but mainly the stuff in Asia. Moto just sucks. Plain sucks. RaZr? Technology over 1 yr old. It's a V600 re-shelled.. great.

W800 FTW in this case, the Nokia N-series are a few hundred. The expected release price of the N91 AFAIK is around $2K.

$2k?? OMG that's like a friggn computer. It's just an iPod nano + phone.. =( If the W800 can be bought for sub $500 and $300 w/ plan, that's just total pwnage then.

Sucks for you, then. I've used Motorola since the DPC550, and have yet to have a single phone break.

Try not bending your phone the wrong way next time.

Had a pair of T720s, as a matter of fact, and the only reason I'm not using them anymore is because I bought a V505 and a V600.

Got mine replaced. Are you the kind of person that "babies" their phone? I expect it work, and to be liveable. Motorola should be sorry they make phones that suck.

Bending my phone the wrong way - excuse me. It's called flipping the phone to answer a call. Moto just makes sh!tty hinges that fail over extended use. Broke on me after around 120 hours on the talk timer.

Not to mention the ass-quality reception on the T720 before 850 came out. Not to mention you're a blind Moto fanboi, so anything I say will virtually be "wrong".

I guess you can consider me a SE/Nokia/Samsung "fanboi" - anything that works better than Moto.

I'll give credit where credit is due, the Moto UI is pretty good, I'd say second to Nokia.

QFT

the only "durable (i.e. - wont's break down under normal usage)" moto phone is the e815. Of course, it's not flambouyant like the razr.

Honestly, the Motorola phones have decent reception. If any phones have sh!tty reception it's SE phones. I have an SEk750i and its reception blows compared to my Moto V600 and my friend's V300. There is no way the internal antenna wins. Now, teh K750i improved a LOT on the T616 and T610 which had even WORSE reception.

Samsung and Nokia phoens definitely win in reception.

But besides reception, because I can live with 1-2 bars at home instead of 3, I'll say the SE phones are just awesome in UI and definitely the K750i and W800i are the top phones today. Sure the RaZr looks nice but its nothing in the end. N90 is pretty good, but I would take a W800i over it any day, which is why there's an N91 coming out...

Moreover, compare where products are made. SE = Made in Japan. Moto = Made in China. Which quality control is higher? Not too hard to figure o ut...

Just for you, moto fanboi.

ROKR's a complete flop. Look at how many times SE's w800 has been mentioned and recommended, even just in this thread.

Crappy designs (RAZR aside), cheap material (see Delirium's post above me), and JAVA applets that lag like hell.

Moto has got nothing going for it, end of story.

Did you read the article? The Razr sold over 6 million units during the same time period!!!
I'd hardly call that nothing, but I'll leave it to you to prove me wrong. What other manufacturer has a model selling like that? I'm not even going to mention that the Razr is well over a year old.

I thought the same thing, until I looked into it. It has music controls on the front, making you think it is a music phone. Yet it doesn't have any removable memory, and with only 30 MB of internal memory, I wonder how it is supposed to be a music phone when I can only fit 10 songs on it...

Personally, I like the Samsung A940. The Sanyo 9000 is a good phone, with a nice speakerphone and a great brand name.

I am buying a new phone either next month or january. I am torn between the Qtek 8310 and the k750i. Anyone have any reccomendations? I will be using it for T-mobile.
Also is there any differnece between k750i and w800i besides color and 512mb included memory card?

I was looking at the Motorola v360. Lots-o-snazzy-features, and 3rd generation vXXX line.
mp3, video, camera, bluetooth, speakerphone, vibration are all the features I really wanted. The only downside I could see being it's tri-band and not quad-band.

Anyone with experience with this phone? 'cause if I go T-mobile (which I might have to in the near future if I move) I'll get this phone.

I've been half-heartedly looking for new phones lately.
I wish that they would make more non flip phones. I HATE flip phones.

Yeah, I'd prefer a candy bar style phone as well...just not sure if there's one with all the bells and whistles I want.
