So the RAZR V3?

What about this:
Motorola SLVR
Big features and tons of style, packed into an ultra-thin tri-band phone.

The razrberry is a codename for an ultra thin PDA type phone.

No 850 means it gets crappy reception in many areas if you have cingular, I have a moto v80 and how i wish i had 850 sometimes. Theres just nothing out there that catches my eye, v3 is the same phone but its super slim, i like my auto-swivel auction better.

Because Cingular's network, contrary to popular belief, is PATHETIC. They can SOMEHOW put up a 400ft tower and then pack a teensy weensy little radio on top that covers a comparative postage stamp. Add to this the fact that GSM is COMPLETELY AND TOTALLY intolerant of distortion and Cingular is a poor prospect indeed.

Not on this continent, and not on this continent's piss-poor networks. We get crap, and virtually all crap was created equal

I have a K750i with Cingular...no problems with it at all. Not having 850 hasn't caused a problem for me @ all. I do travel a lot too...

I just got a V635, which is quad band. Not a bad phone so far...

The K750 or W800 are the best phone out right now. The camera is great, and the phone is full of features.

The K750 is probably the best built phone I have owned so far...and that is a lot of phones😉

SLVR = bad; Motorola seems to like raping all their phones of all attractive features before release by a lil while, EDGE has been removed from the SLVR and the PEBL, not hot, Moto phones have had EDGE for a while (V551, V635, E680i, A780)
I'm not too confident in the Q (official name of the RAZRberry) EVER coming out, anyone remember the MPx(300), that fold open PDA?? And the E790 was a huge dissappointment, its just an E398 with official 850mhz support and the iTunes app, both which were made availible to anyone with an E398, USB cable, and P2Kman after some Russians leaked the flash/flex for it.
If the RAZR2 (not the V3x/V1150, its a new GSM RAZR that moto showed off at motonow2005) actually comes out with Class 10 EDGE and a TF slot, I'll be all over it like Tyrone from Chapelle's Show on a bag of crack.

Whats the V635 like? I have a V600 thats chugging along (it took a couple hard hits to the floor, its getting ready to go to the big cell phone tower in the sky) and I'm looking for a good replacement

Expensive fashion phone w/no current features (just like the RAZR), no EDGE, no expandable memory, but if you want a phone that looks good, go for it, its 800 bucks imported tho. I can't stand Nokia Series 40 phones, the screens are waaaaay to small, and 128x128 barely cuts it for IM icons people.

ohhh ohh I have the v635. I had a v551 before that and it broke and my friend has a v600 so I have a good basis for a comparison. Its nice, its basically the same thing as my v551 with a few added features. It has a transflash slot, an external screen, a 1mp camera, and a flash (which also serves as a handy light). Also it plays mp3s (but not well) and has an upgraded speakerphone. I noticed the internal speaker sounded a lot louder than my v551.

I think it makes a great replacement for my broken v551, but there's no need to upgrade from a working v600. The v600 has almost all the same features, and if you need the external screen or the camera there are other, better phones that have that function.

Its the EDGE (faster data than GPRS) and expandable memory I need, I've grown to love the V series of phones, the color screen and camera are just icing on the cake. My V600 "barely" works, the external LCD buggers out alot, and it drops a helluva lot of calls, did you get your V635 off eBay or from a website?

I got it from my world phone but they rape you on shipping. I think ebay might be a better choice. Try and get the Canadian one, the European one ha this weird thing where it sends you a text message everytime you check your voicemail.

I too am a fan of the V series. I think the speaker on all the phones just isn't loud enough though, maybe i'm deaf.
