Slab-sided and boring. All of you that complained about 'Bangled' design backed BMW into a corner where they are going to pump out boring shit. Thanks.

Dang.. I knew this would happen when old-fashioned BMW fans in their 60's complain about Bangle's attractive and not-too-classic design, which appeals younger buyer. Now, it's going nowhere.

Thanks for all your great support for making 21st century BMW looks like 1970's.

To be honest I don't think it's people in their 60's at all. All I ever hear on this board is, 'Bangled!', this and, 'OMG BANGLE!!HATE!!!MOAN!!', from an audience that has an average age of way below half that.

Oh well, soon we will all drive generic silver lumps of crap. Fantastic.

You mean we're going to all be driving A-series Audis? THE HORROR!!! 🙂

There was a time when BMW aesthetics differentiated them from other vehicles and made them rather special. Nowadays they look the average Honda.

Well, their physical age might be way below, but their mental age looks like in their 60's as they couldn't adapt new design trend and missed the outdated design from good ol' days.

That goes for pretty much all brands, everything is derivative.

I always thought that BMW's and Mercedes looked more dignified and poisely than other brands. Nowadays it just sucks with substandard designs and materials used in their cars.

so the 3 series convertible is a hard top, but the 6 series convertible is a rag top. wtf.

But it has a BMW badge on it so some people will buy it.

The drivetrain should be incredible. Next-gen SMG, High-revving //M powerplant, tight suspension, so it will likely perform very well. Looks, OTOH. IDK, think I'd just grab a Vette if I was gonna blow that kinda scratch on a sports coupe.

Might not be high revving anymore. Might be a turbo 8.

According to the link :

"The current engine lineup is expected to carry over relatively unchanged, however the range topping M6 could get a new twin-turbo V10 engine and dual-clutch transmission."

Could you imagine the current //M V10 tuned to utilize twin-turbo? Sweeeet.

As of now, it's all pie in the sky until actual specs are released though 🙂

Hate the rear.. front end is Jaguar-like which I liked anyway, but of course people will say it's not original. 🙁
