- ugly fake brushed metal design
- ugly shape (not a fan of the oval/egg shaped casing)
- same old Mali 400 GPU
- pentile screen
- overall, just not as big of a deal as the Galaxy S2 was. GS2 was a huge leap over the competition. GS3 is basically on par with the HTC One X, which is already available.

You may not like the shape, but performance wise you can't argue with results like this.

Apart from performance, the list of new features is massive. You might think some of them are gimicks, but its things the S3 has and the other phones don't.

So the display, I have the original Galaxy S. It's pentile so it's not perfect and the iphone 4 makes it look low res, but the S2 has a non pentile display, but a worse ppi and TBH it's doesn't look much better. The Gnex is pentil too, but has a MUCH higher ppi than the S2 and I think it looks much much better. So I would take an AMOLED pentile display with a 300+ ppi over anything else.

The SoC is impressive indeed but at what point does it become an overkill ??
I just got the HTC One S is the thing is superfast but the thing that stands out to me is the much improved battery life.
I was really looking forward to the GIII just to see what kind of design Samsung got up its sleeve.
The GIII in white looks just like the T-mobile GII version.
I never said its ugly but I would think Samsung would step it up with the design.
Still look plasticky like the GII.

Superficially at best. Again, if you're the type who thinks an iPhone looks like an Galaxy S then yeah sure.

At different angles the difference here is even more pronounced because of the GNex's curve.

The curves are exactly the same. The GSIII is just taller and wider but the curves all look exactly the same.
