Well the carnival has come to town. I hadn't really expected them to get going at daybreak on Sunday, though. Still, if you can't beat them; join them:

Last time I was there the sound systems were so loud they gave me stomach ache. I think its gotten progressively louder over the years. One day the whole of Notting Hill is going to shake off its foundations and vibrate itself across London, , like an insufficiently secured washing machine moving across the kitchen, till it falls in the river.
