Next...Case and Fans

I have all the hardware i need now, mobo Asus CUSL2-C and processor Intel PIII 1.0ghz FCPGA. I need a case w/powersupply, and all the fans (case and heatsink_, for the heat sink i heard something about how an orb was the best, other wise i dont know anything fo what to get...make your recommendations...

If you mean between the 840 and 1040.....hmmmm that's a tough call. Basically I would say that either one is going to be a great case. Personally I think the SX830/840 is a little more attractive than it's big brother, but I went with the 1030 because it has the extra drive bays (which I needed). Basically look at what you've got and what you expect to get and make the call from there. If you don't need any more than 3 5.25's and no more than 3 3.5's including hard drives then go with the 840. If you like the looks of the 1040 better or need the drive bays go with that. Both are excellent cases with great cooling.

How many fans can my mobo support CUSL2-C, i know the 1040 case wil support 4 80mm fans?

The Antec cases are great I have the SX830 and won't use anything else. As for the Golden Orb, well mine sits on the closet shelf, I would recomend an Alpha or Global win they put the orb to shame.

I'd say a good case would be an InwinQ500. They're huge though, but not too expensive and come with a 300 watt AMD approved PS. (www.mwave.com has them for something like $70) and then get the fans and heatsinks from www.2cooltek.com
