Like how do we know we don't see the world completely different man? You were taught thats blue and I was taught thats blue but maybe I see blue as some trippy ass shit and you see it like some soccer mom.

The article title isn't really meant in the way this question is typically posed, as in "are we in a computer simulation?"

I'm about 2/3rds of the way through and that's what it seems like. It's more like the way we think and the way our brains/bodies work and interact with the world are similar to a virtual reality system. I have to finish listening before commenting further

One important thing they left out of that article is what kind of drugs he was on to 'enlighten his mind'.

So the article is kind of dumb imo. Or at least obvious. There was an interesting part about a VR experiment where the writer entered a reality where he was sitting with Freud and he switched back and forth from his body to Freud's and had a conversation with himself. The article is discussing two topics and the Virtual reality as a means of altering our minds was the more interesting one. I'd like to read more about that
