Gems from the article: he claims Democrats will brainwash the entire next generation through the school system "if they can get away with it." Never mind that it's typically in red states that they omit, alter or downplay proven facts to fit their agenda. Newt claims election fraud must have happened because Republicans did well picking up seats in the House, but lost the presidency. He claims Republicans will probably do well in the midterms because of historical precedence (nothing to do with gerrymandering, suppression, etc)

This is man that skewered Clinton for his extra-marital affair despite having affairs left and right, a man that claims fraud and corruption from Rome! Where his wife is America's ambassador because...??

I didn't think I dislike a person I never met more and have no relationship to, but wow, this article makes me mad. And yet, I have some admiration for his ability (or something) to stand there with a plank in his eye and point the finger at others. Wow!

Newt is the kind of guy that leaves his wife when she gets cancer for another woman.
 
Newt is the grand father of the modern gop. If you want to pinpoint when politics got really bad and dysfunctional you can point directly to newts time in congress. I’m sure most of you already know this but back the day the CSPAN cameras were on 24/7 so newt would show up in the middle of the night when no other representatives were around and start doing theater pretending he was debating democrats who were too ashamed to respond to his questions.
Newt is the one responsible for prioritizing donor fundraising over writing legislation. He’s also responsible for why most legislation is written by lobbyists because he cut the amount of staffing representatives can have.

He’s as scummy as you can get.
 
Multiple articles I've read point to the current shit state of GOP politics to Newt. He is a real pos. Reaganomics has driven wealth inequality and Gingrich has destroyed character and credibility coming from the GOP.

Newt also insisted that lobbyists either support the Reps or the Dems but not both. This created an enormous partisan divide among lobbyists that didn't exist prior to Newt.
