Moron was probably too busy fucking his sister to read the description. Or he just flat-out can't read.

Item Description:
This is the Eneloop "Power Pack" - it comes with the charger, 4 AA batteries, 2 "C" Spacers, and 2 "D" Spacers. (The spacers allow you to use the Eneloop batteries in devices that require C or D batteries). Please note from the picture, this is a brand-new retail package, but I've removed some of the batteries for myself. So you will receive exactly what you see in the picture (charger, 4 AA, 2 C spacers, 2 D spacers). Any questions, please ask.

He buys it, then sends me this message:
I just purchased this item, but did not ready carefully enough
regarding the fact that the package had been open and some of the items removed. If it is not too much trouble I would like to cancel my purchase...I apologize for the trouble but hope you can understand and are willing to allow me to contact PayPal to stop payment. I will leave you positive feedback anyway if we can cancel the order.

I would have been willing to refund his money as long as I could re-list it without any fees, but he never gave me a chance. TWENTY MINUTES AFTER HE PURCHASED IT, HE FILED A FUCKING DISPUTE WITH PAYPAL:

I purchased item presuming it was an unopened, complete package...only to find out after making the purchase that some items had been removed from package. I would like a refund of the purchase amount. Thank you for your understanding and help with resolving this matter. :| :| :| :| :| :| :| :|

Now I want to fucking make him eat it. Any way to guarantee he can't win the dispute? I'll take pics of the package and ship it with delivery confirmation. I'm willing to take a neg to deal with this idiot. I know PayPal will probably side with him no matter what and take me behind the middle school without any lube, but I'm sick of fucking idiot buyers.

Cliffs:
1) Idiot doesn't read item description or look at picture.
2) Files dispute 20 minutes after purchasing as "item not received". I'm sorry I don't own a fucking teleporter to get you the item instantly.

Update:
Buyer accepted refund less eBay seller fees. All is right with the world, except the state of Kentucky now hates me. And the country of Canada too.
 
ship it to him UPS signature and tell him to fuck himself

paypal will protect only against item not received disputes, so if you ship it to him they will side with you

ebay will take on the item significantly not as described dispute, but wont' matter since you're gonna take the neg.

I'd say your odds are 60/40 of this working in your favor

Yeah I'd fight it, the buyer filing a dispute is just ridiculous. I couldn't imagine PayPal siding with the buyer unless they don't even bother reading the disputes, he is 100% in the wrong on this. But eBay/PayPal seem to be very biased toward buyers, so I guess it's not out of the realm of possibility that he'd win the dispute.

You know, I would have been a lot more willing to help you if you had waited more than 20 minutes to file a dispute. I can tell you right now that if this goes through the dispute process you will most likely lose. I have your e-mail stating that you did not read the item description -- which was perfectly clear -- and I will ship the item with delivery confirmation.

Here's the problem, if I issue you a refund through PayPal, I will still be out $2.51 in eBay fees ($0.35 Insertion Fee and $2.16 Final Value Fee). The only way for me to recoup these fees is to mark you as a "non-paying bidder," which is a problem since you've already paid. I also have to wait until seven days after the auction ends to open a non-paying bidder claim, which I'm not willing to do because it would then give you a valid claim that the item was not received.

So here are the options as I see them.
-I can ship you the item and we can fight out the dispute.
-I can issue you a refund less the $2.51 in eBay fees, but only if you drop the dispute and leave me positive feedback.

So let me know what you want to do, or if you have a better suggestion.

I'll admit it was pretty crude, but I still don't find it offensive. Then again, I try not to take anything on the internet too seriously. *shrug*

while i agree he should have read the whole article, you made it look deceptive by adding the bolded comment. you should have left that out altogether. it's just as much your fault as it his.
