***NEWS*** Swedish foreign minister stabbed to death

Geez, why would ANYBODY want to attack the foreign minister of SWEDEN, of all places? I didn't even know Sweden had a foreign ministry -- the country kind of keeps to itself, doesn't it? 😕

It's illegal to carry a gun. It is also illegal to carry a knife over a certain lenght.

But you can buy and own guns?

Just curious because this is the second Swedish politician to be stabbed and killed. The first was the Prime Minister, I believe.

I was just wondering if harsh gun laws were the cause of the perpetrators using knives.

You can buy rifles for hunting but licence is required. Guns can only be bought for target shooting and you need alicence.
What is your point?

She was stabbed at a department store? Weird...

Also interesting...she was the main proponent of Sweden's push to adopt the Euro currency...and the referendum is scheduled for Sunday. Possible motive??

Ahem...*she*

And, outside of politcal disagreements, why WOULD somebody kill the President/Prime Minister of a country?

There's a thread about this in politics.
Here.

Amish, actually Olof Palme, the prime minister you're thinking of, was shot.
That was quite different from this murder, aside from the obvious similarities, such as they were both politicans, etc.

A great loss to Sweden. 🙁

Um, uhh no.

I feel sorry for all the Swedish people. And for the loss of a good politician, and more importantly a mother of 2 minors. I hope Sweden gets the bastard this time...
