The orange monkey said at least one truthful statement during his term “It’s A bible.” Can’t say the same for Santos yet.

People like this should never be able to hold elected office. Democracy has to work better than this.

Besides the stuff about claiming to have been mugged when he course he wasn't, Santos said during the campaign that he would donate his entire Congressional salary when elected. Now when asked directly if he's going to do it, he won't answer the question.
People like this should never be able to hold elected office. Democracy has to work better than this.
Santos has in part answered the question about "How low can the Republicans go". What's not in question is that there is no bottom for them to crash into. Santos is living proof that the Repubs really don't care how unqualified their office holders are with the likes of Marg Green, Trump et al leading the way. They'll take anyone that can qualify at the very margins of eligibility and beyond so long as they can scam their way into being elected just like Trump did. Well, come to think of it, the majority of elected Repubs in Congress as well as their Justices in the SCOTUS are obviously corrupt to the core and they really don't care that they're notoriously known for being that way.

It's almost as if it's a compulsive, psychological issue and he just can't stop or help himself. IDEK that Donald was as bad as Santos. Every other day they reveal some new detail of his past that was entirely fabricated. Example:
Donald: "I'm a self-made man, I earned my fortune myself." Yeah, after a "small" $1m loan from daddy. So not true, but maybe at least loosely based in reality, and at least the source of the funds was known.
Santos: "I made my fortune myself." Still unknown where he stole his money from, and some have been digging for a while trying to track it down. It didn't come from his family, or a legitimate job, etc. Hell, the FEC hasn't figured it out yet. So...not true, and not even verifiable where the money came from. (Though we know he'll fundraise for homeless people's pets and then steal the funds)
This guy would lie about what kind of sandwich he brought to work for the day, he has so little honesty and integrity.

But I don't know that that fits. That fits Trump better, as in the example you cite - Trump's lies were about bigging himself up, distorting the truth in a direction that made him seem better. Santos's lies seem more random and more comprehensive, almost like constructing a complete fantasy version of himself. Walter Mitty comes to mind.
Apparently that's not in itself a mental disorder, though.

Noting that these not particularly smart lies include claiming to play for a team for which he never even tried out for, at a school he did not attend, and against an opponent (Yale) that does not and did not have a men's varsity volleyball team, on an athletic scholarship that is prohibited at Division 3 Baruch. Also, he claimed to play the position of "striker", which does not even exist in volleyball - making it quite unlikely he ever actually played competitive volleyball anywhere at all.

For reasons which I can't begin to understand or explain it does still seem to look like this guy has some unresolved issues involving his ego and some weird compulsion to make up stories about himself that are more flattering, perhaps, than his actual history suggests.

- on tuesday santos campaign files report with Datwyler's signature with fed election commission amending information on money saying the $500000 wasnt a loan from santos and doesn't tell where it came from.

That $500K, I guarenty the feds are going to trace it and find out where it came from. And it's going to be something illegal. There is virtually no chance it's legit.
My bet is on Russia, indirectly via a MAGA LLC shell corp. They don't quite own half of the Republican congress, but they're getting close.
