Ah, I will pull out my metro side for that. First, it's Asian, more specifically Japanese or South Korean I believe (the non-poor Asian countries), so it's "exotic".

Look at the second picture and note the fine pink stitching and detailing. The pink threading in itself is a statement. The buckles also provide an accent ontop of the exposed threading - really can't say enough about the threading. Of course, this is all assuming that it's a niche brand and the workmanship is quality (brand association bonus + individuality, non-mainstream bonus). Interior liner is also pretty nice, leather looks good. Damn, that is a nice purse...

Go to ebay and search Hermes Birkin, there are several there. Sort by price, most expensive listed is $150,000. I'd link but ebay keeps changing.

The good part is that a Birkin bag is an investment, they do go up in price.

Hermes Birkin. Been in style since the early 80's and probably will never go out of style. I think there is like a seven week wait though.

Birkin from EBay will be 100% guaranteed fake. Birkin may be expensive but so is Kelly. Both start around $7.5k. It's just Birkin is better known to women due to shows like Sex and the City. My wife wants a Hermes bag. Her motivation? None of her friends have one. I told her none of them have one because most Hermes bags are freaking ugly.

My wife is into Dooney and Bourke. Good for me since they're not obscenely expensive.

My wife is too. She has a couple of their bags and I got her a gift card as part of her Christmas to buy another. Personally, I think her nicest bag is one I bought her at one of the Florence street markets in 2009 and it was only 65 euros.
