I'm looking at the BX boards on the Asus web site. I can't
figure out which ones are newer than others.

Can you shed some light on this for me?

The CUBX-E is the latest....it's a revised CUBX, with the problematic CMD ATA66 Controller replaced with a Promise ATA100 Controller.

There is also a CUBX-L available, with onboard LAN and the new Promise Controller.
