Is it yours? If it is, why were you not told about it?

I mean that I wasn't told about the delivery. She went into the hospital last night, and I heard around 2am from her, but no mention that she was going to be delivering soon, otherwise I would've rushed to the hospital. Instead, this morning when her dad came to get me and drive me over, he told me that she had already given birth 2 hours prior. Not a huge deal, just something that would've been nice knowing.

No, that's a huge deal. WTF is up with that? Not notifying the father so you can see your daughter being born?

The only people at the hospital were my wife (who was doped up and not really focused on anything except labor), and my mother-in-law, who wasn't sure how to get ahold of me. To be fair, she was the "coach", or main support person anyways. I've only been here since the 14th of May, so I missed the majority of the birthing classes, all I was ever going to do was stand just inside or outside the delivery room anyways. Like I said, they could've called me, but I understand that things were kind of sudden and hectic, and there were more important things to worry about, like the safety of my wife and kid.
