I talked with an NVidia sales engineer at the AMD Tech Tour and I was told that the new 5600 and 5900 Ultra cards would be available in the first week of July. I personally want the new 5600 Ultra, but I'll wait until I can get one with ViVo for $200 or less.

I guess the new Intel 2.66 is on hold for my video card :)

Nvidia is well worth the wait , no problems with drivers "EVER" ............ I'm even willing to pay more for a little less performance .

Thanks for the info .

huh? video cards have ALWAYS been flipchip...

flipchip just means the die is facing up instead of down(unlike older CPUs)...

I`m hoping the FX 5900 Value is out in July as well,I`ve heard rumours it might be a 128 bit version of its bigger 256 bit FX 5900/Ultra brothers.

PNY has the new FX 5600 Ultra(flip chip) version listed on its website, first new version I`ve seen listed on any website .

PNY website .

Btw the old FX 5600 Ultra has 1.4 billion texels/sec. fill rate, new flip chip version has 1.6 billion texels/sec. fill rate.

Also older version has 350/350mhz core and memory speed
New version has 400/400mhz speed.

The last review I saw was showed the Radeon 9500 Pro, 9600 Pro and 5600 Ultra flipchip. They were all overclocked and all very close in performance. I know at stock speeds the 9500 Pro is faster, but with the .13 micron cores on the 9600 Pro and 5600 Ultra flipchip coupled with some really good ram, they overclocked like a mofo and ended up with equal performance, even with the 9500 Pro overclocked.
