I'd like to know why Newegg thinks UPS ground is better than FedEx ground.

"However FedEx Ground isn't as good as UPS ground, so the end result is frustrated FedEx 3-day air customers that have to pay more, or customers forced out of pricing to go with UPS, which hasn't always had the best track record. "

FedEx Ground is much better than UPS ground in terms of speed and safe package handling.

um...isn't the shipping next day, not the actually packaging and gettign it ready to ship?
they could take 3 days to get it ready and then ship it and it will arrive in one day.

the next day shipping is for shipping times only, not the time it takes for newegg to get it ready. i'm pretty sure thats how it works.

I stopped buying from newegg because of the UPS fiasco.

UPS always mistreats my package, while ordering over 100 packages via fedex and I've never had a broken or abused box... 1 out of 5 times a ups box will look like they had it tied to the back of the truck and played bumper cars with it...

Respect to newegg for now having TWO reps as members here.

But why not dump UPS for FedEx? Problems solved!

To all,

A recent thread has already addressed this statement about the Anandtech article titled, "Inside Newegg: They give us a Tour and you a Prize." Please click here to visit that thread.

For the most part, we're not choosing sides and we still allow our customers the option of choosing FedEx or UPS as a shipping courier.

Hope this information helps.

Because fedex is now double what they used to be.

Its great that you allow folks to choose between Fedex & UPS, but the thing you fail to mention is that Fedex almost always costs a lot more ... often twice as much for the same
delivery time!
I've used Newegg since you guys first were in business & I still buy from you now because of your responsive customer service, but I used to use you almost exclusively ...
now I often am forced to buy elsewhere (Zipzoomfly mostly) because after I factor in the extra cost to use Fedex with you, the price is too high to justify.
