About 4 cpus, a LCD HD TV, speakers, 2 cases, 3 motherboards, 9 memory DIMMS, 4 video cards, 2 sound cards, 5 hard drives, 2 PSUs, ....I'd say at least 5k over 4 years.

To those that don' believe me, do you know how many computers I've put together in the last 9 years? Not just mine, but family, friends, co-workers and others. True it's not all my money I am spending, but I have spent quite a bit of mine. Here's a small picture of what I call my battlestation.

Some pics of my older computers.

I seriously have really only made online purchases for computer parts and electronics over the years. Besides a few game deals, or other clearance knick knack deals such as my rocketfish case from bestbuy, I never buy from a B&M store.

I typically upgrade my 3 PC's at least once a year, and my mac every 2 years. I get a new laptop every year too.

Of course I also sell off my old crap too, so the real cost is actually quite a bit lower over all. However, the OP asked what my total spent at newegg is an it's a bit over $20K from my personal accounts.

2002 - 1124
2003 - 59
2004 - 1224
2005 - 556
2006 - 723
2007 - 1371
2008 - 955
2009 - 1476

total ~7488 all numbers rounded.... more than i expected.

No one cares. Relax.

$7308.96. I thought it would be more. I'd say that less than $2000 of that was stuff bought for personal use. (goes back to 5/2001)

$5,708.04 from September 16th, 2005 to now. Not bad for someone who never had a job and never had his parents pay for his shit. >_>

Anyway... It's nothing compared to you guys with jobs! (And to you kids who live in cities)

$13,116.27 since fall of 2005.

Yikes.

Good thing a good sized chunk of that isn't personal stuff but rather builds for other people 😛

My first purchase there was back in 2001. It was a nVidia GeForce 2 GTS Pro, 64MB memory for $178.00.

I've probably spent around 10k there over the years. My receipt list is 27 pages long.

$1580 This is on my newest account, which goes back about three years.

$4277 On my older account.

Total: $5857 in 6 years.

First purchase was: 1/9/2003: Radeon 9500 Pro and Athlon XP 2000+ for $277.99.

$ 2472 since June 2001.

Note sure how $$$ much I've spent in other sites and B&M just for computer related stuff. My last built in late 2007 cost about $1600 from various sources.
